Ruthin Castle...
Ruthin Castle (the 'red fort') originated before 1277 and at times was part of the Crown Estate until sold by Charles I in 1632. Largely rebuilt in 1827, it sits by the River Clwyd amongst acres of landscaped gardens, parkland and woods.
The castle has a proud, centuries-old tradition of providing hospitality and comfort. Each of the bedrooms has individual personality and most enjoy views over the estate and mountains. All are within the main buildings and have en-suite bathroom or shower, offer room service and are well equipped. Many have four-poster beds and antique furniture.
Family rooms and suites are available and upper floors are served by a lift.
